Sparta-Flake Garage Floors
A decorative vinyl-flake finish encapsulated in high-performance polyaspartic resin — fast curing, UV stable and built for garage use.
A decorative polyaspartic garage floor built in multiple resin layers.
Sparta-Flake is a decorative polyaspartic resin floor incorporating coloured vinyl flakes. The flake creates the visual finish while the polyaspartic resin provides the hard-wearing surface.
The pattern also helps disguise normal repairs and visual variation in the concrete better than a plain solid-colour coating.
Preparation first. Then three resin coats and the flake system.
Our professional dust extraction units connect directly to the diamond grinders to help control dust while the concrete is prepared.
Diamond grind + repairs
Mechanically prepare the concrete, repair cracks or damage and grind repairs flush.
Moisture test
We test the slab with a moisture meter and only recommend a barrier when it is required.
Coloured polyaspartic + flake
Apply the coloured base coat and broadcast the vinyl flake into the wet resin.
Scrape, sand + vacuum
Remove loose and rough flake after cure and thoroughly vacuum the surface.
Clear coats
Apply clear polyaspartic, re-broadcast where specified, then finish with the final clear slip-reduced topcoat.
Why we use polyaspartic for premium garage floors.
Customers don't need a chemistry lesson. These are the practical benefits that matter once the garage is back in use.
Fast cure
Short recoat windows allow a multi-layer system to be installed much faster than conventional epoxy.
High abrasion resistance
Excellent resistance to tyre traffic, grit and day-to-day wear.
Chemical resistance
Strong resistance to common automotive and household chemicals.
Heat resistance
Well suited to the heat loads encountered in normal garage use.
UV stable / non-yellowing
Suitable where sunlight reaches the floor through open garage doors or windows.
Fast return to use
Light foot traffic is normally possible after around four hours, with vehicle traffic typically around 24 hours.
Clear pricing without pretending every slab is the same.

Common polyaspartic garage-floor questions.
What is polyaspartic and why do you use it?
Polyaspartic is the high-performance resin we use in Sparta-Flake. It cures quickly, has very high abrasion resistance, resists common garage chemicals and heat, remains UV stable without yellowing, and allows the floor to return to service quickly.
Is Sparta-Flake epoxy?
No. Sparta-Flake is a polyaspartic flooring system with decorative vinyl flake. Epoxy is a different resin and is used in other Floor Masters systems where its longer working time or heavier build is useful.
Why choose Sparta-Flake instead of conventional epoxy?
For a residential garage, Sparta-Flake gives fast cure, excellent UV stability, high abrasion resistance, strong chemical resistance and a decorative flake finish that helps disguise normal variation in the concrete.
How long does Sparta-Flake take to install?
A suitable garage can be completed quickly because the polyaspartic coats cure rapidly. Floors needing a moisture barrier, significant repairs, coating or floor-covering removal, levelling or other remedial work can take additional days.
When can I walk or drive on a Sparta-Flake floor?
Light foot traffic is normally okay after around four hours. Vehicle traffic is typically around 24 hours after completion, depending on temperature and site conditions.
Does Sparta-Flake need a moisture barrier?
We test the concrete with a moisture meter before quoting. If the slab does not need a moisture barrier, we won't recommend one. If it does need one, we'll explain why and price it separately.
Is Sparta-Flake slippery when wet?
Any smooth floor can become slippery when wet. We incorporate a slip-reduction additive into the final clear coat and can adjust the texture to balance grip, appearance and ease of cleaning.
Will hot tyres damage Sparta-Flake?
Sparta-Flake is designed for garage use and has strong resistance to hot-tyre pickup when installed over properly prepared concrete.
